Cannot continue with installation of new patch

GBS1969 wrote on 3/24/2022, 6:14 AM

Hello
Please could someone assist. I have just started to install the new patch (30.0.5.47) and can not proceed further than this message I am receiving. I have nothing else open or running besides MMM and clicking "retry" does not let me continue.
Many thanks and looking forward to your reply.
Kind Regards
Gary

@GBS1969 I would suggest you restart/reboot your computer once. Do not shut it down and turn it back on, this will not help. Maybe there is still some program hanging in the background that blocks the update process even if you don't see anything.

Thanks SP, appreciate your input and will give it a go. Do I click "close" on this message or just restart without closing the message. Many thanks

@SP while waiting for a reply I went and checked my Windows updater and found the following waiting for an update. Could this perhaps be the problem. Still please let me know if I must click "close" on the message or just do a restart without closing. Once restarted I think I should do the Windows update first before installing the patch?? Many thanks

@GBS1969 Do you mean "click on cancel"? I don't see any close button in your screenshots.

@SP Yes it should be "cancel", apologies for that and which I did do. I then restarted my laptop and now busy with the Windows cumulative update. I will restart again after that and then give the patch update another go. I will let you know how it goes. Thank you and thanks to all the people that help out on this user forum, you all do a marvellous job.

@SP Installation was done without any problems, thank you. The patch download was extremely slow

@GBS1969 Thanks for letting us know it worked. Yes, it seems the servers are under heavy load at the moment.
