No, only in Music Studio, I think, and definitely in Samplitude Music Studio.

In Music Maker, you can work around it by moving the top yellow bar to 1 bar before you start recording. Turn on the metronome if you are singing. Start recording, wait until the marker gets to the bar where you want to record, then start singing or talking. Make sure that the right side of the yellow bar is far enough along to cover your recording session, or playback will jump to the beginning of the yellow bar and repeat.
