Can You Have Different Sized Video Tracks In Multicam Mode?(MEP 2013 Premium)

As the title says, I have 2013 MEP Premium and I would like to be able to overlay two videos, one small one in front of a full screen video.

Is this at all possible or is there a plugin that will let me do it? I know you can have two seperate video tracks in multicam mode but it looks very amateurish.

I hope there is an update soon this program has been terrible compared to the previos version in regards to stability, I would say I would be close to 20 crashes now, however that should be in another thread.

Thanks.

JimmyH,

You don't need multicam mode to have multiple images! Multi cam mode is typically used for easily making cuts between two clips eg concert recordings taken with two different cameras.

Overlay two videos, a facility know also as 'picture in picture', has been available in every version of MEP I've ever used. Simply put your clips on two different tracks and change the size and position of the one in the lower (higher number) one which will appear in front.

Go to the 'Design elements' section of the effects tab anad you will find lots of templates and presets which may be  helpful.

Regards,

Carl

Wow thanks Carl, it is so easy, I must have tried 10 different ways to do it and somehow didn't manage to do it the right way.

Thank God I don't have to use the multicam mode, I find that very difficult to use, I wish they would put labels on the grab handles(?) so you know what you are about to do.
