Can't store midi settings plus selfplaying piano

Goofer2500 wrote on 7/27/2022, 9:12 AM

Magix Music maker 2022 Premium.

1: My midi settings disappears every time I start the software.

2. MMM suddenly starts playing piano by itself. It won't stop

Can it be some virus? I have checked with 2 different antivirus softwares. No virus found.

This is really annoying. Can't use the program at all.

Hope someone have a solution

@Goofer2500 What MIDI devices are you using?

It's a Roland A-49 midi keyboard USB

@Goofer2500 Have you checked for problems with the connection between the MIDI keyboard and your computer? You should also check if there are broken keys that send MIDI notes without pressing the keys down.

Thanks you SP for the tip. I dont think it's hardware related. Think i'ts something with the Music Player software or a virus in my operating system (Windows 10 Pro) But iv'e reinstalled Win10 several times with the same result. I even downloaded a new MMM install file from the link I got in the mail. Sems nothing helps. It's really annoying. As long as I run the program and set the midi values everything works fine. It's when I start MMM next time, all my midi settings are gone. And also, the self playing piano is really wierd. My computer is a Dell Precision 3650 tower. I'm thinking, if Dell PC's are different in some way. Just a thought.. Sometimes the sound can be distorted

@Goofer2500 Do the problems also appear if no MIDI keyboard is connected to your computer?

Hi again. I've found that the cause of the problem is my PC. I installed MMM on my laptop and it works just fine. Now I must deal with my Dell PC. Hope to find what causes all this. Thank you SP for trying to hellp me. I really appreciate it =)

@Goofer2500 Maybe it's a hardware issue, for example a bad USB port.
