Can't select a specific place in my audio, its always selecting all

Hello, I'm desperate, I can't work anymore. I'm using SoundForge Pro 16, and when I want to select a specific place to edit, the software highlights the entire audio! I can't edit, remove breath or anything... I've searched the net, but I can't find anything to help me out. I reset All preferences and catched data already, and nothing happened either...

@Sophie-D Please make sure you have the Edit Tool selected (shortcut CTRL+D).

If this doesn't help try to restart your computer? Please select the Restart option and not the Shut down option.

Also make sure nothing is sitting on your keyboard accidentally pressing down keys.
