Can't record video when preview available

AVTV wrote on 3/7/2020, 1:51 PM

Hi all

I've just installed the Rescue Your Video Tapes software version 6.0.1.10. I have the black K0065 video converter stick.

When I select import video, and select Magix Video Converter 3 (USB - DShow) with Composite scart connection, I am able to preview the VHS playing on my VHS Recorder in the small preview box/window.

So I'm assuming everything is connected and working well, however when I select 'Transfer Video to Computer' the video playing will freeze and the software attempts to do something but nothing happens. I do not get any attempt to record the video, I.e. no video saves.

Difficult to explain as it's so close to working, but basically I cannot record when I select 'Transfer Video to Computer'.

One issue spotted is that the Video Grabber driver has a yellow warning triangle in the driver manager. However the Magix Video Converter 3 driver seems to be ok.

Could this be the issue? And what's the best driver to fix this (I've tried to find one but no luck).

Most of the issues like this on this forum don't seem to have the video preview working, so that's where I'm confused.

Any ideas would be great.

Thanks

Hi

. . . . One issue spotted is that the Video Grabber driver has a yellow warning triangle in the driver manager . . . And what's the best driver to fix this . . .

USB Video Capture Driver (Black) drivers are here.

You may need to login to access them.

Thanks for the reply, but still no luck.

I might be missing a step. I have ran the USB Video Capture Driver (Black 64bit) setup.exe, but the video grabber driver still has the yellow warning triangle.

I've tried uninstalling the original driver too.

Hi

After installing the driver did you restart the computer - Windows button, Power icon, Restart - a simple shut down and restart does not always load the new drivers.

Hi, the driver setup requested a restart. So restart was done through the driver setup rather than through the windows button... (if that makes sense)

It does - does Rescue your Video tapes see the USB device Ok and does it still freeze?

Yes, same issue unfortunately.

Hi,

I have the same issue(K0065). I have fixed the driver, making it not appear with a yellow triangle using your download link.

But the problem still persists. I get the video and sound in the preview window. But when I press the transfer video to computer button. It freezes for 10 seconds. I can hear the "Plug-out-plug-in" sound from a USB device disconnecting and connecting again.

I have made the program work on 2 old computers. But the one it doesnt work on is my fathers brand new computer.

I have reinstalled Video easy Video Saver. I have restarted the computer countless times. I have reinstalled the drivers. I have checked so that the Camera and Mic are allowed to have use the desktop apps. Nothing seems to work.

Please help!

Same thing with me. I decided to install on an older laptop, and it works perfectly (still has the yellow warning triangle too).

My far newer laptop has the problem which runs the same OS.

I can only assume that there is some kind of driver conflict. Or maybe a conflict with the MPEG activation.

Hi,

I´ve read ur solution. But after installing the new drivers it still doesnt work. How do I add new programs to the allowed apps to use my microfone?

I can see Video easy Video saver in the camera. And I pressed ok that the program is able to use both camera an mic when installing. That dialogue box doesnt show up when reinstalling the program tho.

But this is the microfone part and that program doesnt show up there. How do I add it?

@Joakim

Hi

Check in the Sound Control Panel recording tab that the USB converter is available for audio recording, if it does not appear there, try enabling the Stereo Mixer and see if you get audio then.
