Can't get Samplitude to recognize my input

I used older versions of Samplitude for years and never had a problem. Now I've upgraded to newer computer and the new version of Samplitude Music Studio. I am using an Antelope Zen Q interface and I have two condensor mics hooked up to it and I'm getting a good signal on the interface. Yet when I open Samp and start a VIP session, I cannot get Samp to record a signal. I choose the record device Zen Q 1-2 and it always defaults back to Zen Q 3-4 and the Samp shows no signal. I am simply trying to record an acoustic guitar. Any help? What could I be doing wrong? It should be very straight forward but it isn't.

Hi

Assuming the new computer is running Windows 11, check the following setting is turned on:-

Contrary to the description this affects all audio inputs to the computer neing available for 'desktop apps'.

In addition check the option shown below, if there is an entry for the interface select it.

Thanks John. That solved the playback issue, now the recordings (I made several successfully before now) are playing back through the Antelope interface, but still can't get a recording signal to my track in Samp. I've been messing with this thing for hours. The funny thing is when I go to the setting as you suggested and choose Antelope 1-2, the meter there shows a signal when I speak into the microphone, so I know the audio is coming into the computer, but it won't come into Samp. Also, when I choose an input in Samp, the entire list comes up in the dropdown, but it defaults to Antelope 3-4. I can change it to 1-2 and close that diaglog, but when I reopen it, it's showing as 3-4 again. I'm almost ready to give up and go buy new interface and new software. Thanks. Jim

@Jim-Roshelli Is the 1-2 input maybe blocked by another application? Or what is shown in the ASIO driver Control Panel for your interface?
