Hi

. . . . The header bar or tool bar is different than shown in the tutorial video . . .

Which tutorial? A link to it would help

. . . . Did I get the wrong version of music maker . . .

What is the version of Music Maker as found under Help, About.....

There are several mouse toolbars in MMM

Main windows toolbar as shown below - this only becomes active once an audio object or instrument is placed on the timeline

MIDI Editor mouse tools there are 2 mouse mode toolbars in the MIDI editor as shown below

The top tools alter what the mouse does in the timeline, the lower tool bar selects how the effects eg volume, pitch wheel, etc, are drawn in the graph to the right of the controls.

the first one. main window toolbar. I see the magnet, the redo, the undo, the scissors and the delete, but no other icon after that. And the tutorials is the one on this site. the Magix site. https://www.magix.com/us/support/know-how/tutorial-videos/music-maker/ the mouse tool video. The version I just bought is Music Maker Plus the about shows Music Maker Version 27.0.0.16

Can you post a screen shot of the whole main window of what you do see?

Thanks

Mouse modes is a function which can be unlocked by using your function coupon or by purchasing it seperately in the in-app-store.

@Richard-Terry

My bad, should have asked - are you are using the free version of Music Maker?

If not then have you installed the extras for the Plus and Premium version?

Following on from Horsti12's comment - the extra mouse modes are in the Creative Suite pack as shown below

No.....It's not the free one I paid for this one. It's the MM Plus.

Well.... shoot I guess I have to buy the creative add-on. Wish I knew that before. Thanks all.

I went and bought the addon. Lo and behold the mouse mode is now there. Thanks again.
