Hi,
New to MM, have the latest trial (free) version. I really want to mic up my drums and add my own drumming to MM tracks. If I buy an audio interface device with USB connection to my PC (Windows 10) will I be able to see all the four lines as separate tracks in MM? Is there a tutorial or good documentation that discusses this?

Welcome to the Magix forums.
The short and simple answer to your question is, No, sorry. What you are looking for is a DAW (Digital Audio Workstation) that is capable of simultaneous multitrack recording. Music Maker is not such an app. In the Magix product range, for true multitracking capability you need to be looking at something like Samplitude.

Thank you very much for taking the time to reply. I am really enjoying working with Music Maker, I'm new to all of this and was hoping there was a "one stop shop" where I could have fun with loops and creating music and also could enhance that with my own instrument recording, mainly drums.
I do have a question as a follow up for you. What does it mean to click the REC button on the track header. I was thinking that meant I was recording onto that track.
Also, just an observation, but if I have Music Maker (28.0.2.45) running on my Windows 10 desktop, YouTube videos will not display and I get an error message from YouTube that says "Audio Rendering Error". Is this just an incompatibility with my hardware or is this something in the MM configuration I can correct?

This arms the track for recording from different sources or off, the 2 sources are:

Music Maker takes full control of the audio card and it is not available to any other player while Music Maker is running.
I would advise to read the PDF manual available under Help and watch @browj2s tutorials on getting started with Music Maker in the Tutorials section of the forum.

I have a USB microphone attached to my PC, when I clicked the Audio Rec feature I saw the levels moving up and down as I spoke into the mic, but when I pressed the red button to Record as the playhead moved along I spoke (won't admit to singing) and nothing was recorded. Playback from the start and this vocal track was blank. I'll will go back through the PDF and I'll check out the tutorials too, but if you can think of any simply solution please let me know. Thank you again for helping.

Did you notice what @johnebaker wrote in his reply to you earlier? That REC button has 2 "settings", MIDI REC and AUDIO REC. You need to ensure you have selected the second of these.

thank you. Yes, I thought I indicated that in my post when I said I “clicked Audio Rec”. After selecting Audio Rec I got level indicators but nothing actually recorded to the track. I pressed the red button to start the play head. Any thoughts?
To hear it, turn off Audio Rec, then play. It's a minor bug.
