There is an update service but I am sure it only updates to the year and version you have so if you have standard you would receive standard. I myself have premium and it gave me the new year of premium for update so thats what I would think. I would suggest if you haven't already to sign up for the magix newsletter as they email you deals and such and it is quite convienent. To my knowledge you would have to buy the premium to get it.
