Can I switch an instrument that i dont like for another?

I bought that 2019 plus edition for the 4 free instruments and among them i took "Bass Machine" cause i thought it would be for trap / hip hop kinda drummy bass sounds such as 808s but i found every preset and even tweaking some presets doesnt give me even remotely the sound i was hoping for. Its a lot more like a synth of which i already have 2 that can create more and better sounds than bass machine. Im wondering if i could trade / switch it for another paid for instrument or if its no longer possible after "buying" / choosing it for free? otherwise hopefully you can make some videos on all the instruments cause i was looking for videos previewing them all and i only found some which barely showed some features on some of them. Theres nothing demonstrating bass machine on the internet besides the preview loop you get when you click it in the store.

I guess you'll have to contact Magix directly via the support option. I don't think you can change. The problem with the instruments are they are just a bunch of samples and, although they look different, the options to tweak the sound are very similar. Really these are just redesigns of the Vita frontend. Sometimes the supplied samples are very disappointing and there aren't as many as you would hope. I agree they should provide proper demos.

Yeah i 100% agree with you man. i mean for whats it worth i got string ensemble, power guitar and cinematic synth for a horror soundtrack and im very satisfied with them. cinematic synth is absolutely amazing with the amount of presets and tweakability you get and features a wide range of industry standard kinda sounds. then string ensemble, also have nothing to complain about. works like it should and has a ton of great sounds and presets.

power guitar doesnt seem to play notes right around C3 as it just slides them, however you can tweak the pitch to make the lower notes sound higher so i feel like i have nothing to complain about there i guess.

but then theres bass machine, its an absolute disappointment and i feel like i wasted a ton of money just getting that. so if anyones reading this and looking for instruments to get, i heavily "decommend" getting bass machine. its literally just one of the other synths but with much less options and it even sounds a bit worse quality wise.

get analog synths 1 or 2 instead as theyre easier to use and understand and have much better sounds with way more options. and cinematic synth ironically provides several (i think its 6) bass presets that sound a million times better than bass machines and actually put my speakers to the test as the bass machine claimed but failed to do. very lame.

This leads me to ask - did you listen to the sample that plays when you click the preview option before buying?

To me it sounds just like any other polysynth and has no comparison to what I would call a 'Bass machine' ie Bass guitar, drums or is a 'bass' rhythm generator.

I did listen to the sample, but the description is what led me to buy it as it said something like ( cant read it anymore as i bought it )

"This bass is sure to test your speakers" so hearing the sample with the light bass made me think they have hard / deep bass as well that they didnt put into the preview. All the instruments have a light short sample with a few of the presets playing. Cinematic Synth didnt have any bass playing in the sample but it has 9 different (amazing!) bass presets that arent shown in the sample of it for example. And those presets are more than what i wanted for when i bought the bass machine which really led me down.

I did and they resolved it. more than happy now, very cool of magix to do that!
