Hi,

In MusicMaker, you can't. You would need Samplitude Music Studio which offers 3/4, 4/4, 5/4, 6/8, 7/8, 12/8, you can put whatever you want in the project settings. MMM only allows 3/4, 4/4, 5/4 in the project settings as a pop-down, with no possibility to indicate anything different.

Aaggh! Why??? Thanks for the confirmation,browj2. What an odd thing to not include. Can you tell me what Music Maker does that Samplitude doesn't do, so I don't feel I've been taken for a ride as much as I do now? Same price, more features? Is it a bad joke? Thanks.

MusicMaker is more based on using Soundpools so it includes many, whereas Samplitude Music Studio doesn't. This is annoying as I wanted the functionality of SMS with all of the Soundpools and instruments of MusicMaker. Previously, MusicMaker had more instruments than MMM, but now they are equal as far as I can tell. Music Studio was bundled free with MMM once which was how I first got it. Then Magix offered an upgrade price to Samplitude Music Studio and finally Samplitude Pro X2. But I still bought MMM just to get the Soundpools.

Just so you know, with MMM you can only record to one track at a time, whereas with SMS, you can record to more than one track at a time.

So much for my research prior to buying. 8) I don't use the soundspools- I bought MMM purely for midi/vst and single input instrument recording (guitar and vocals, seperately). So it seems I would have been better off buying Samplitude for my purposes? Do you know if there's a way of upgrading/changing fromone platform to the other?

Thanks heaps for your help!
