@Carsten-Persson Are you trying to have more than 32 tracks? If you reached this limit you can do a workaround by exporting all finished parts as a single video and re-importing them, so they only need one track.
Video Easy is a feature limited version of Movie Studio Platinum/Suite and Video Pro X. If you want more tracks you need to switch over to them. Currently Movie Studio 2024 Platinum/Suite upgrades are sold with a discount for $20/$30, likely because the 2025 version will release soon. I don't know whether your version allows you to buy the upgrade, but you might try. The Platinum and Suite Edition allow up to 200 tracks for editing.
I have Movie Studio 2024 and VPX15, both of which can have more than 32 tracks but I have never needed even 32 for any project I have done.
I wonder, are you assuming that 32 tracks means you cannot use as many different video clips or files as you would like in the same project? Each track can hold as many video clips or files as you want to place on it. There is no limit to that number I think.
32 tracks means 32 video and or audio objects being played back or exported at the same time.
Jeff ( @emmrecs ) is correct. You can place as many objects on one timeline as you like as long as those clips do not need to play at the same time.
Keeping track of them can be more difficult than individual tracks but on the other hand the complete view on less tracks can be easier to follow while the project plays.
I know this is not your program but the principles should be the same.
Carsten, what exact program and what version are you using (Help>About)? Video Easy 7 doesn't have timeline tracks, only storyboard mode as far as I can tell here.
