Can Chapter menus have multiple lines

nmartens wrote on 1/2/2012, 8:30 PM

I have a movie with 15 chapters but there still appears to be plenty of room on the screen.  Some of my titles get chopped off because they need two lines.  I don't know how to get two lines to display.

nmartens,

The details may vary some with the MEP version you are using, but you should be able to get multiple lines simply by using the [Enter] key as you would in any text editor. You may have to move the chapter preview images some to see more than the top line.

Regards,

Carl

Hi,

In most cases that would be insufficient info to get a useful answer. See the post at the top of this link:

http://www.magix.info/uk/forum/1-all-about-magixs-programs/10-movie-edit-pro-video-pro-x/#/topics/?page=1

In particular, for this sort of DVD menu query:

1. What version of MEP?

2. What DVD template?

However, I suspect most versions and most templates are probably flawed in the same way as MEP17, the version I'm currently using. There's apparrently no way to insert a CR/LF. So trial/error is needed, as you see from this:

Edit:But looks like I'm mistaken, from Carl's reply, which appeared after I hit Send! I'll take another look later today.

I had already figured out how to get my two lines on form but I couldn't get the lines to display.  Then I notice a check mark on 'Shorten Menu To Fit Template'.  Unchecking that box fixed my problem.
