Buyer Beware MM15 and Soundpools

Regarding MM15.  I have posted this both as a question and an answer to another question.  Potential buyers should beware of purchasing MM15 as it is a good prog but has a number of unsolved problems that will lead to frustration.  Development team seem totally uninterested.

I've paid good money for the prog and extra for soundpools that are for MM15 yet they will just not appear in Soundpools.  I put them on a CD and MM15 asked if I wanted to add.  Yes.  Lots of activity but no add.  I tried adding styles, can find them but no add.  Now I am a programmer by profession and Although MM15 is a clever piece of work the user interface is very poor.  I mean by this its ability to communicate and problem solve for the user.
Also suddenly the web site keeps asking me to register as a new user despite checking with the site and confirming correct name and password.  What's going on?  Hence new login is bloody_frustrated (frustrated already taken, I wonder why).

Hmm...can't say I have had any problems. Soundpools works fine.

Perhaps you are looking in the wrong place?

Password and user: come on, your local settings could be the problem. Cookies, firewall or browser.

Yes, I agree with your added info. I found 4-5 more who had the same type of problem - don't know if the setting is the same. One thing I read was that the 1-4 soundpool dvd's has to be installed as 1,2,3 and 4 in the correct order.

Magix should definately deal with this. Listen to the crowd.

Hi,
I just had to chime in - perhaps someone at Magix is listening. I've been answering questions and posting here for quite a while and I'm equally frustrated!

Magix clearly has neglected QA as well as service; I still use Version 12 and will not upgrade. Music Maker is a toy plain and simple; it's not pro audio software. Magix makes a product that is closer to pro audio than music maker called Samplitude - even it's not quite there.

Frankly I use ProTools for anything serious and Music Maker for some audio effects only. Even though Music Maker is a toy it should still perform as stated and they should support their software. Anyone reading this... go to eBay and buy version 12 and stop buying their bogus "upgrades" until they fix this broken system!

This is the worst bloody software I have ever encountered! I consider myself a computer savvy person, but if a computer programmer is having problems, then I'm screwed. Have tried and tried to contact customer service on how to get the soundpools that come with MM15 to actually show up. Realized that MAGIX had actually downloaded them into a hidden file on my hard drive, but even after rerouting, nothing is coming through except for the synthesizers.

After messing with this for over a month and never getting customer service on the line, I have two words: screw this.

Don't waste your money. I'll respost this on every single review I see of this software as well.
