Hi!

i need your help to understand better and trouble shoot an issue with the batch converter.

I have sound forge pro set on 2 computers with the same windows pro 10 version.

The firts one is a laptop and everything is fine.

The 2nde one is a desktop and im experiencing missing files with the batch converter. It seems to convert very fast and missed some files randomly.

The computers have the same settings.

Any idea ?

@ben-soul Maybe it helps if you reset the program settings under the File menu on your desktop computer.

Good idea but it doesn't change anything.

@ben-soul If you run the batch converter are the same files missing each time? Are are different files missing on each run?

Are you converting the exact same files on your laptop and desktop computer?

@SP. its random and yes the exact same files. It seems that the processing is very fast and miss some files on the desktop. Very tricky. I think im gonna uninstall and reinstall the program tomorrow to see if it changes something.

Hi @ben-soul, What format(s) are the source files? If some are lossy file types (MP3, AAC, ect), enable the Proxy mode in "Options> Preferences> General". Some lossy files can have intermittent issues.

Update : after reinstalling the program nothing change. @rraud i couldn't find proxy Mode but always proxy compressed formats. Source files on wave. to wave mono.

The proxy mode 'Always proxy compressed formats' is only for lossy formats that creates a mirror image PCM file.

It is 'interesting' that the issue happens on one PC and not the other.

@ben-soul What happens if you put the files you want to convert into a folder like C:\Convert\ instead loading them from the Desktop folder?

Hi guys ! Just to let you know that i found the problem and resolved it. It was my ssd, a low cost one on a refurbished computer... SO everything ok with sound forge ! Thanks community !
