Back to the red scrolling marker

Hello there

As per my previous question on a missing red scrolling marker, as I said I tried the restore, made no difference, i put the cd in a did a repair still no difference. I would like to add that upon first boot up the marker scrolls perfectly. I can add samples and it still scrolls, but as soon as i run an exsisiting song, doesnt matter which one of the 30 or so finished and unfinished songs I have, the scrolling marker stops working.

I decided to re-install so I uninstalled the programme in the correct way making sure I backed up any important files and after a re-boot I installed the programme. Red scrolling marker worked fine until I ran an existing song and I lost it again NO red scrolling marker. Interesting I loaded an old 2004 version  music maker deluxe, I can run most of my old songs and the scrolling marker works OK although I noticed after it had been scrolling for a short time it started to split and segment across the tracks, for example the marker on the 1st track would be slightly in front of the marker on the 2nd track, and so on across the tracks, when it started a new page it came together again.

Help what the hell is going on?

I want to use the new Magix MX programme not the old 2004 version.

Any ideas please.

Many thanks

Paul

I would like to suggest that you re-record from scratch one of your old songs in your newer program, then play it back and see if everything works OK....no shortcuts, make it like a "brand new" song.  If it works, then obviously tahere  is an issue with all your old recordings. Its a start...
