Axiom 25 Driving Me Crazy!!! Did I make a mistake...

...in buying one of these to use with MM15? I'm a noob to midi recording and wanted a controller to use instead of the mouse. I thought that the Axiom 25 would be perfect because I've read it's easy for noobs to learn with and I won't have to get a better one in the forseeable future because it has everything I really need in this early stage of learning. Did I make a mistake? Should I have purchased a different controller that's easier for someone like me to set-up and learn with? If so, which one?

Thanks All for any responses--I'm at the end of my patience with this thing and feel bad that I spent money on something that won't work with MM.

Hi - you don't actually say what the problem is !

I have an Oxygen 25 and everything works OK except that MMM16 doesn't seem to allow programming of the control knobs or transport buttons .... not the Oxygen's fault because I've connected it using another DAW and been able to use all the knobs and buttons to do what I want

That's because MMM is NOT a DAW.  Samplitude is.

So, I made the "mistake" of buying MM15 and what I should have bought was Samplitude? If I buy Samplitude will the Ax25 work with it? Thanks

My answer was a reply to bobbynuts comments about DAW's.

ANY MIDI controller will work with MMM,...however, since MMM is not a true DAW, it will have limited functinality.  There is no keyboard mapping, pitch bending, or modulation "performance" controls.

MMM will only respond to basic MIDI commands like note ON, note OFF, velocity, and sustain.

One can expect only so much from a software program that costs less than $100.
