Audio quality of recording

Has anyone had problems with the quality of recording internet broadcasts? I recently recorded a broadcast and when I listened back, the reproduction sounded as though the speaker was going at about 90% of the original speed of his voice. I'm using Windows 10 64-bit; running on an HP ENVY using an Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-10700 CPU @ 2.90GHz   2.90 GHz processor; 16.0 GB RAM

A pitch change (fast or slow) playback usually indicates a different sample rate from what the recorded file actually is. How did you capture the broadcast? Did you use the 'record what you hear' method?
Most PCs with Realtec soundcards have a 'Stereo mix' setting to use in place of a microphone or other (record) input.
