Audio Cleaning Lab - running on Mac with Parallels

Daripa wrote on 2/15/2011, 2:11 PM

I have the trial version of ACL 17, running on a Mac with Parallels/Windows 7. I cannot get the software to burn CDs and the patch download on the Magix website (PC Tuning) instructs me that it cannot install and that I have to 'load from the original CD' when I'm only running the trial version of ACL 17! The CD driver on the Mac works fine with Windows Media Audio. Any suggestions, please? Many thanks

Well,  usually it should work. Are you uptodate on all your drivers? Downloading the latest burn routines may help here.

The work around is always exporting the files as WAVs and use your standard burner to burn a disc. Without ODing this reply, you might just be unlucky enough to have one of those rare burners that is not happy with ACL 17. Hope it works though.

Thanks M o' L. The download has made no difference, unfortunately. The problem with exporting as WAV is that even if I divide the sound files into tracks, when I open it on iTunes, it comes up as one big file and not separate tracks. I fear mine is one of those 'rare burners'. Nevertheless, many thanks for your assistance.

Hi Daripa,

what about the firmware for your burner? Always worth checking, you never know.  Also, under File, Export Audio, choose Wave, Export Project appears. Try ticking 'Each track in it's own file with names'. Worked for me.
