I'm new to Music Maker. I want to know how to hear the sounds of the keyboard while typing. Do I need an audio card? I only have an audio hardware on board. Do I have to buy an audio card? What is the minimum configuration (the cheapest) for beginners. Many thanks !

Assuming you mean your computer has an onboard audio chipset eg Realtek then you do not need a separate audio card.
However do ensure that you use your computer motherboards drivers for the sound card.
These are the settings that work for me in Music Maker 2021 audio using a Realtek HDA chipset for :
Note: there are a couple of gotchas:
when audio recording eg from microphone or Audio Line In - you must turn off the AUDIOREC option in the track header after recording before you will hear what you have recorded.
Music Maker takes over total control of the sound card when using the ASIO driver - no other program can access the sound card nor will you hear anything eg streaming music in the background, this is by design and is to reduce latency (delay) in the audio system.
