Hi Lenny,

I see that you solved your problem that you posted on the discussion forum about how to connect a turntable to the soundcard. You should post your own answer there so that no one needlessly replies. It would be good to show how you connected your turntable. I presume that are not using a USB connection from your turntable, but rather the line out from your amplifier to the line in on your computer sound card.

You should be able to hear the music through your soundcard and on your speakers without even opening Magix. If you cannot, then you will not hear it with Magix either. Right click on the speaker icon in the bottom tray of your screen and select Playback devices. Speakers should be selected. Click on the speaker icon again to open the volume mixer and make sure that your speakers are on and the volume is turned up.

If you want to record from your turntable, once you have sound on your speakers, go into Audio Cleaning Lab and click on the turntable. This will open the recording screen. Near the bottom below Sound card settings, open the button with the little arrow and select the Line in. You do not want a microphone on. You should be playing a record on your turntable and you will see the recording level on the screen. Open Audio input near the top of the Recording window and adjust the sound volume if the recording level is too high or too low. Now you are ready to record.

Read the manual to see what to do next.

Good luck,
