Akai LPK25 keyboard with Magic Music Maker 16

I bought an akai LPK25 keyboard that I wanted to use with with Magix Music Maker Premium 16. My operating sytem is vista. I can't get it to work - no sound at all. Does anyone have any hints on how to install this keyboard so that it will work with MMM premium 16. I have searched Akai and Magix and found nothing of use.

Is it a driver problem ? Check out the drivers in the hardware manager. Maybe it is also a problem of services or of the soundcard. You could also check out Compatibility with this operating system.

Hi,
Have you enabled your midi keyboard in program settings

You will only be able to use the keyboard as a basic midi controller ... mapping extra contol knobs is not possible in MMM16

I use the same keyboard with MM16 Premium. Go into File/Settings/Program Settings... Click the Audio/MIDI tab, and change Input Device to USB Device
