Adding to another clip?

How do I take a video clip and add it to another one I have already edited and saved in Edit Pro 12? Movies I have not yet edited I can add together and do whatever I want. But once I save something it will not let me drag another movie down to it to mix. It sends it away asking to keep open or close. I click keep open but it just sends it to drop down list under preview screen. It will not leave it in the timeline..Making this software useless to me If I cant do this.

In MEP you can have different projects at different "pages" just like in Word, and changing between them with Ctrl+F6. You can copy from one page to another with Ctrl+C and Ctrl+V.
Place proj. no. 2 on a new timeline, mark it, press Ctrl+C, change to proj. 1 with Ctrl+F6, place the marker at the end, and copy proj. 2 in after proj. 1.
