Adding Reverb to vocals

Muka1 wrote on 6/30/2015, 6:30 AM

OK, I have my setup working  as best as I can but I need some help adding Reverb to the vocals. I am using MMM Premium 1015 with Alesis io2 Express interface. My problem is after I add the reverb or any other FX effect the vocal appear to be far away as if its in the background. How do I adjust the vocals to be infromt of the music? Is there a tutorial for this?

Hi,

Try reducing the reverb for a start, then compress the vocals and boost the gain to make up for the reduction.

Here is a series of tutorials on 3D mixing and mastering that may help you understand what to do.
