Hi to all guys,i've a problem with Acid pro9(maybe a stupid question,i hope)when i record a midi track from the usb keyboard i can modify the midi but the track volume is "locked" even if i lower the volume in the track or in the Acid mixer it sound at the same volume, the only way to make a midi track to sound different is to Freeze the track and then i can adjust the volume..Any suggestion?Second question is..in the midi recorded track i can't add fx like in the audio tracks?even in the Acid mixer and in the track control i don't have the fx symbol to add an fx...Some advice to help me?Many thanks!

the midi track you've recorded has too have a 'Soft Synth' of some sort to produce a sound. Adjust the volume on the 'Soft Synth' to what ever level you like. Keep in mind if and when you 'render' or 'freeze' the track the volume will be what you've adjusted it too. Cheers

Thanks @Former user, yeah in fact the only way is to adjust the volume in the synth plugin interface, but i was thinking that i can adjust it directly from the Acid interface..

the adjustment you mention would be the preferable one I agree. I ran into the same problem you are having and that was the only solution I could come up with and like I said it's a rather inconvenient solution to a problem that should be taken care of , at least, at the mixer level. Cheers

@stefano-bonfante, I got to thinking about this little problem and decided to try it in Reaper. Well, there was no problem at all controlling the volume of the midi record and playback from the track level. A feature AP10 should start to include.

How is Reaper?i’ve read good things about it only doubt is for the time stretching ability,i like to use old songs or vocals to make some remix and Acid is very intuitive in layout, but if Reaper isn’t too much different and is able to load plugins without problems i’ll give a try..

@stefano-bonfante. Reaper is VERY stable and Very good, it was modeled after Vegas and it's easy to use. NO plugin problems at all (32 or 64 bit), They update the program (bug fixes etc) all the time, sometimes weekly. I've not tried the time stretch feature in Reaper but now that you bring it up...I'll run it through it's paces tomorrow. Download a copy of Reaper and give it a try...? If AP doesn't become more stable and add some better customizable features I may be forced to move all of my audio recording to Reaper. AP 11 will probably come out next year, my fear is that they will load it up with 'blot wear' (Morph Pad, Stem Maker etc.) and won't address the serious issues that plague the program. Cheers
