Acid hangs and crashes

when I open the program and select a folder, the screen goes white then hangs for up to 10 seconds or more. Sometimes it just crashes asking for a report. At this point I want a refund because it's not working as billed.. is there a solution

Dear @Leroy-Ambrose,
we need some more information about your problem. Which ACID version do you have? When you say select a folder, do you mean a folder in the acid explorer? If it is a network folder it could take a while. What are you doing before ACID crashes?
