access .sfk files

Long ago I worked in a studio that used SoundForge in the production process. The master of that studio has died and I have several files of recordings that were made. They are in the .sfk format. I was hoping that SOUND FORGE Pro 14.0 could open these files and I could recover these recordings. That does not seem to be the case. How can I access and rescue these recordings? I am using a Dell/Windows7 PC.

<.sfk> is a waveform file specific to Sound Forge (a display aid). It is a companion to the file that contains the actual sound data and, Without the companion sound file, the <.sfk> file it is useless. Some folks delete, hide, or choose not to have them saved in the first place if they are deemed as clutter. They are not necessary if one does not mind waiting for a sound file to open in SF.

btw @Thomas-Sears welcome to the Sound Forge forum.
