The way I do this is by exporting projects as .wav files.
If I have recorded side A and side B as one project, I add in the track markers for each, I even add in the titles. I then export the project out to where each track is an individual file.
These are exported to the music folder that I request them to be saved. From there, I usually burn the single project to disc so I have the complete recording, but since I also have the music on a hard drive, I can take songs into a NEW Audio Cleaning Lab project and make a compilation disc.
It would be the same if you were wanted to burn multiple album sides to one disc.
Yes, pretty much every Magix title... with the exception of a few offer burning.
You can also use burning software you already know as well, but then, from the Magix software you will need to export the finished project to the appropriate file type. In Audio Cleaning Lab, that would be .wav format. Exporting to .wav format where each track marker becomes an individual file, will allow you to use that exported file in any other burning utility.
Personally, I like a program that does it all... even more than I need. It allows me to grow into a product and explore new possibilities. When I first used Audio Cleaning Lab, I only recorded and them burned that recording to CD. I was happy with that. I later used it to clean the material I recorded, then burned that cleaned material to CD... It seems each time I used it, I did a little more.
They have automated a lot of the process by introducing the "Wizards", but I manually use the software for the most part.
say i want to record 2 lps 4 sides..as one file..using magix recorder..how would i do this?also there r these boxes on thr botton right of the recording console..it says "time"what are they for?2 boxes..yea im that way 2..i want to use what ever a software has tp offer not go elseware..theres really no support 4 this software..thanks
You would record side A, you then would pause the recording and flip the LP and record side B. You would need to turn off the Auto CD Track recognition to do this... marked off in the illustration below. (Audio Cleaning Lab 17)
You could also record each side individually or load in each song individually. You just need to remove the track markers to eliminate the the tracks on a CD, at least all but the first marker, there has to be at least one.
There is support, but most support now requires you to look through the FAQ, which can seem tedious. I am more than willing to share my knowledge.
What version of Audio Cleaning Lab do you have? This way I can load it and maybe follow along with you on explaining what some things means.
I am guessing on the "Time" or Timer... I am not sure if you have a different Audio Cleaning Lab. Timer, which I have marked off is for timed recording, such as internet radio, you can set it to record on a certain time and duration, I have not done this so I am not sure on accuracy, but it would be based on the time signature that your copy of Windows is using.
There is another time, which can represent the amount of time recorded, and below that the amount of time still available to be recorded to based on the size of your hard drive.
i just made my first with msgix it came out ok just a little low..how do i raise the volumew a little?o yea one more thing..there is a item on the rite side of the control panel called "timer" and "start recording and record lenth"what r these 4?
