Is it possible to use a 88 key midi keyboard with music maker premium edition?

Why not? Since you select it as your midi input any keyboard can work with Music Maker

Yes it is, however do bear in mind that many of the Instruments do have limited ranges as the real Instruments do - as in the Celtic harp example shown below - note the greyed out keys at the bottom of the instrument pane.
