$50 rebate for the MusicMaker 2015 upgrade?

As a previous customer of Magix, I received an email about the MusicMaker upgrade.  It says:
exclusive upgrade offer until October 23, 2014!
» $50 Upgrade rebate on the new version
» Included free: Soundpool DVD Collection 19 (worth $39.99) – over 6000 additional loops!
» Included free: The new MAGIX Music Studio 2015 with an additional virtual instrument: Electric Piano (worth: $49.99)

What is the $50 rebate?  Is this different from the $49.99 offer?  Will this mean that this purchase will be as if it is free after I get the $50 rebate?

Hi,

You get a 50$ discount off of the list price of 99.99$. Thus you pay 49.99$.

I paid this. Main reason was for Vocal tune 2, then more soundpools and instruments. The other new features are nice to have:

  • Vita sampler
  • Improved screen keyboard with arpeggiator
  • Harmony editing in the pitchbar and presets for harmony progression
  • Cross-fades on a track
  • Tempo changes (BPM) can now be made during playback, either by tapping or byentering the value directly
  • The instrument menu in the track header now has a clearer design. Now you'll findthe instruments in the first menu layer, the sound categories in the second layerand the actual sounds in the third layer.
  • The Magnet/Snap function is now easier to use and labeled clearly with a magneticon in the toolbar.
  • The time signature can now be selected directly in the transport console.
  • The track FX rack now has a bypass function
