@Darren-McMaster-Smith There is a 30 days demo you can try before buy or you can use the free Samplitude Pro X4 Silver. http://dl04.magix.net/2019/SamplitudeProX4Silver/Program/SamProX4_Silver_INT_200121_07-59.exe which only has 8 tracks and doesn't come with any plugins like the full version but everything else should work fine. This is good enough for small projects and to learn the Samplitude workflow.
