2 cameras, each camera several files

Peter-Jensen9020 wrote on 6/18/2023, 4:08 AM

Hi. I am working in Movie Studio 2023 Suite version 22.0.3.172., in multicam mode. Each camera has taken 7-8 videos, which I for each camera can put behind each other. I make one sound file the master, I synchronize the tracks, which works fine.

When I edit in multicam mode I choose which camera should be active. But when the file with the active camera ends, and is supposed to continue on the next file from the next camera, there is no camera chosen, and when I activate it with my mouse, I always get 1/3 of a second with no pictures. I cannot activate the camera on the new file, before it is actually running, so I all the time get these small black holes in my finished movie.

Does anyone have the trick?

Thanks a lot in advance

I can't help with multicam other than to recommend searching this forum for Multicam and then clicking on either the Forum results or the Tutorial results - in the small print above the results NOT the large ones at the top of the page.

@Peter-Jensen9020

Hi

See this tutorial

on multicam editing by @browj2 , though done on an old version of Video Pro X the procedure and principles also apply to Movie Studio 2023.

Note: if you have gaps in a cameras video, eg one camera was stopped for a period and then resumed, this will create gaps in the timeline when aligned with other camera tracks, and if you are 'using' that camera when its recording ends at a gap the progrm will not automatically switch to another camera source - you must do this manually.
