1st frame of following blocks pixilated

I use a Canon XA-10. And like all Canon digital it saves in 2 gig blocks. Using MEP 2013 Prem the first block is fine, but the 1st frame of the second block can be pixilated when it starts. I thought it was the camera, but block start looks fine when played on the camera. I can play the block via Windows and it looks fine. I can use another editor and it looks fine. But MEP 2013 Prem sometimes pixilates the first frame or so. If it doesn't pixilate the 1st frame, then it doesn't have a smooth transition from block to the next.

So my question is who else has seen this, and how do you fix it? Is it a better AVCHD translator, or do I get with Magix tech group?

Thanks.

Assuming tht your footage is "continuous", i.e. the beginning of the second file follows directly from the end of the first, I would recommend you read this thread;http://www.magix.info/uk/avchd-import-of-contiguous-sequence.forum.908472.html

Although it refers to Video Pro X the solution is the same.

Jeff,

Yes the files are continuous. Also, I did read the thread you suggested and thanks. This was the missing element for several things. First it joined everything nicely. Yea it's a big file, but MEP will handle it.

By finding this program, I can now add the long shots I take at dance competitions or concerts and create 1 file with no drops or pops. This solves several problems I've been having with MEP, Power Director and AVID when I used it.

One last note: Thanks to all of the contributors to this is a great community of users. Y'all have helped me solve problems faster than with any other editors I have used in the past.
