Franz Asio non c’è… E’ andato in ferie alle Maldive. Così perde l’occasione di recensire l’album n. 20 dei Frasan Galaglav che arriva in “piena”, attraversando il blu del mare e del cosmo. Il cosmo in realtà è “dark”, ma in questo album i Frasan Galaglav sanno pitturare sia il cielo che il mare mettendoli l’uno dentro l’altro in chiave musicale. Album dipinto di progressive, a tratti di jazz, sempre e comunque sfruttando un groove cosmico-elettronico che viaggia sull’onda del DO maggiore. L’abilità dei Frasan Galaglav è quella di saper modulare in ogni album, sonorità sempre diverse e sempre accattivanti. Questo album che dura quasi tre quarti d’ora comincia con un pezzo progressivo in parte contaminato dal jazz che reca lo stesso titolo dell’album. Si comincia da subito a capire che Franco sostiene il ruolo di creatore dei celestiali pads e Sandro ci mette soprattuttole “cascate” di Moog mentre Tano Morgan e Theo Kopft ci pensano loro a completare l’opera rispettivamente con le alchimie del basso e delle percussioni. Il prog impera anche in “Starfish” (quasi vicino alla musica celtica) e in “Boolisea…the baron” (il pezzo pienamente prog, più lungo dell’album e ricco di variazioni). Si procede con il jazz di “Heart song form Jupiter sea” dove il sax e la tromba fanno la loro egregia parte e “Diver astronaut” , se ancora non fosse chiara la matrice dell’opera, conferma l’eccellente impresa dei Frasan Galalglav. Si fa dolce l’atmosfera in “Space Water” che sembra quasi nascere da una trovata di Monti-Arduini al tempo dei suoi successi. Poi arriva, impetuoso, “Cosmic submarine” laddove il moog e l’organo di Sandro serpeggiano tra le onde cosmiche di chiara matrice galateiana. L’album si conclude con il maestoso pezzo “Sideral aquario” e quando si arriva alla fine, invece che tirare una boccata di ossigeno, ci si può nuovamente “immergere” per riascoltare l’album in piena…apnea
