I've a sony dcr trv20e handicam (minni dv tape) normely using a firewire connection to stream data. Now i'm in need for a usb 3.0 driver to stream data form the same hadicam. I have a cable already and my os is windows 7. I use magix 15 de luze plus. Please advice.

Volgens mij kan u de DV-tapes nooit via een USB2 of USB3 streamen. U moet dit altijd blijven doen via een firewire aansluiting.

Hi,
The best way if possible is to install a FireWire port on your computer and use as usual. Some suggest MovieBox from Pinnacle to capture from camera to computer but you must link via SVHS port or RCA port on the MovieBox. Also you can use a stand alone computer with FireWire card installed and capture directly from your caméra. After using a USB memory key transfer the captured movie to your computer.
May be the last solution is the best and less trouble because firewire-to-usb seems to be impractical.
