Can anyone tell me if Movie Edit Pro 2013 version allows frame by frame fast forward and reverse? Need to make sure I can advance video frame by frame before I purchase the program. Thanks.
Not sure what you mean by fast forward and reverse frame by frame. In most editing software when you fast forward or revers, it is going frame by frame, it just happens at a speed that you cannot actually see the frames unless you slow the frame rate way down. In MEP, if you zoom your project to the 1 frame level, you can scroll through the project one frame at a time. Set it to 1 frame at the bottom right hand corner of the screen, then use the scroll bar at the bottom to move through frame by frame. If you press "play" at this zoom level, the movie will play at whatever frame rate you have selected and you will not see the frames because they will go by too fast. If you want to have it play slower, set the frame rate to 1 fps and that will slow it down so you can see it, but just remember to change it back to whatever playback rate you want before burning or exporting.
In addition to George's answer you can also step through the movie 1 frame at a time using the left / right arrow keys or 5 frames at a time using Ctrl + right / left arrow keys without having to change the framerate of the project.
You can of course download MEP 2014 trial from the Magix website here and if you extend the test period you can try it for 30 days, there are restrictions in place eg certain codecs are not available and exporting is limited to 3 mins.
