Yeah, i find that even if you close n re-open Magix it seems to hold onto old temp files/settings, i have to clean PC & even sometimes restart PC to get it running properly again. I do like Magix but it is the most temperamental program i have,

I had never tried this before. It gives me the date and time of the recording with updated time as it plays but can't be moved from the center of the screen without disabling the time being updated on playback. Other than that it seems OK.

Problem solved.

In the folder

C:\Users\Public\Documents\MAGIX\Common\Videocontent\Movie Edit Pro Premium\Titles\Standard\

I had both 3D scrolling.tfx and title.tfx, comparing this folder to VPX 12 equivalent there should only be title.tfx.

On removing the 3D scrolling.tfx the right click Fade in date as title works as it should.

Ray check the same MEP folder has only the title.tfx in it.

Now to find where this 3D scrolling title really belongs - cannot see one called this in any of the templates whre it should be called 3D scrolling text according to the ini file.

@johnebaker Hi, I have 4 tfx files in that folder in Movie edit pro plus, they have been there a long time, a couple of yrs, they are templates i use in My Own but don't affect the Fade in date option?

I have redundant Movie Edit Pro Premium files, there's nothing in them because i only did the trial but didn't buy/upgrade to Premium

I can't find a file with that name. Even just the word "scrolling" only brought up a few hits.

That is quite possible as I was remeber trying to replicate the Star Wars intro in response to a query in the forum not so long ago.

This effect was in MEP 2015 and dropped from 2016 and later, yet the translation ini files for 2016, 2021 and VPX 12 still refer to the effect.

Will have another look where saving a title template is putting the tfx file.

@johnebaker Ooops, sorry i was wrong, I looked at the Object Properties of Fade in date, it shows it as Cambria maths which is one of my templates in My Own

So i loaded that template, increased the font size, saved as title template overwriting the Cambria maths one that was there, then did the Fade in date on video on the timeline, the font was increased in size,

Well i just learnt something, that's good 😏🙄😁🤦‍♂️

Changing the first one in My Own, in my case Cambria maths alters the default Title template when you click the T above the timeline

I learnt another new thing 🤣

I changed the name Cambria maths to Fade in date as title template but that put it in alphabetical order further down the list but the Fade in date option now used Central title as the default as it was first in the list,

so i had to put 1 in the front of Fade in date as title template to make it first in the list

In your case John you had 3D scrolling which will have come first before Title, a number precedes a letter,

I've now changed it to 1 Title template to avoid confusion 🙄😁

Forgive me if I'm stating the obvious but i just learnt some stuff n am sharing 😊😊👍
