You should have some programs on the CD that came with the camera. One of them can treat RAW files. It is probably called DPP something, meaning Digital Photo Professional. Mine comes with a 150 page manual. I've never used RAW files.
An advantage of using RAW files is that you control the processing and it is possible to extract images of different exposure levels which are suitable for applying HDR to, although this is still not as good as using multiple images correctly exposed for shadows, midtones and highlights.
