ENGLISH:

After the first album «Songs», The Muktagons propose a new space adventure. It is not clear if «Spaspaz» encompasses the concept of «space junk», or refers to «frightening space», or refers to a relaxing and beneficial space spa. Knowing the experimental trends of LunarMan maybe there is some ... spatial score involved. We like to think of the first hypothesis, that of garbage, because we see on the album cover an android being scrapped complete with broken gears. The cover design, the work of the newly acquired Kastor Rodent (who took over from Vyblacks) seems inspired by the style of Barry Godber (author of the famous cover of "In the court of the Crimson King"), but the music of the Muktagons is not progressive rock though could… include it. We haven't written anything clever about the album so far, but it's difficult to summarize what's inside the eight tracks. Difficult because there is no reference musical genre, the music practiced by the Muktagons (which boasts well-known composers and arrangers) is a "blend" of genres. There is something interesting to say: the contribution of real instruments in addition to VSTs. If the harmonica is recognizable (in Bluz ax Jizz), it is not so easy to understand that in "Bobotosch" the prepared kazoo is played (and also the vuvuzela) or to identify the saxomba (absolutely spatial brass between sax and trumpet) which is played in "Mistekaurn". The type of flute used by LunarMan in «Vasur Osejs» remains mysterious but fascinating, it looks like a call for birds. So… weird cover, weird music, weird instruments. Everything is completed by the fact that Galasyano is spoken and sung. (Texts by Skon Kuass). So all that remains is to listen to the album (also free to download from Reverbnation) and realize that it is perfectly "standard" for an album produced by MITS (EVENTI JAZZ NEWSLETTER 7/2020)

ITALIANO:

These are once again very pleasant sounds. You probably made the chirping yourself 🐦 Suddenly the piece develops into prog rock - Sandro's influences are clearly recognisable there. Very good collaboration ❤️

Sandro Glavina is an italian composer, named L'Uomo e L'Ombra. The choice of the name derives from the title of the album "L'uomo e l'ombra" of the band "Abstract Music Nuova Esistenza", an experimental group founded by Sandro Glavina together with his friends in the mid-70s.

In the period 2009-2022, L'Uomo e L'Ombra has done 84 albums. The compositions of Sandro Glavina are partly influenced by progressive rock. Sandro has developed a personal style with many experimentations and actualizations. He offers music beyond borders by intertwining different styles in crossover with each other. Prog, psychedelia, classical, post-rock, jazz, pop are some of the influences that dissolve in ambient atmospheres, citations of contemporary music and minimalist nuances. Sandro Glavina aka L'Uomo e L'Ombra plays the music using VSTI synthesizers, keyboards and adds some loops. Sandro isn't a professional musician, composes and plays music just for fun, but his works reach a good outcome, pleasant to listen. L'UOMO E L'OMBRA
