Strange that you can't hear the sound. I just tried it and it works fine, and others have heard the sound ok. Can you hear the sound on other tutorials posted here?

I did watch that video before I posed the question, and it is good, and I can get to point Z going through hoops, but I know there must be a simpler way to mouse over a portion of the track and copy it.  I'll read some more.  Thanks  dbutcher432

Like blurocrider13, I can get no sound from the video. I've no idea how to resolve this.

Whoops! I should have said that I can get no sound on any of the tutorials, not just yours. I don't seem to have any other sound problems.

For those of you who couldn't hear the sound I had the same problem. It was resolved when I closed Magix, then I was able to hear the sound. In fact, I couldn't get sound from any online videos until I shut Magix down.

So after tons of playing with this, it appears that you have to go through about 8 steps to find the audio settings, then you can only lister to Music Maker OR any other  program on your pc??

attached is a screenshot. it only gives me two options: enable 1. high definition audio OR 2. ws audio 

high def audio is music maker. when that's on, no other audio on my pc is enabled.

ws audio is my pc. when that's on, my pc can be heard, but not music maker.

a previous version of music maker allowed both, without checking any settings.

is this the best we can do - you have to go through 8 steps, and you can't have both play/enabled??

Removing and installing MusicMaker will not help with add-ons. I presume that after downloading, you executed the file and input the serial number that you were given by email with  the purchase?

Support is where it has always been when you are on the Magix.com site. Look at the top menu.

Very outdated and you can no longer access the video. Pretty sad!

The title of the tutorial is "Getting Started in Music Maker 2015 Premium..." Of course it's outdated - 2015 should be a tipoff, no?

The video still works, I just tried it, and it's also on my YT channel. The newer versions are quite different, but some of the fundamentals are the same.

Thanks John, I must have had video issues. I went to YT and subscribed to your videos. I'm really interested in learning how to use Music Maker to make some nice pads for Worship service. We are a small church and only have a pianist, guitarist and me as a drummer. Looking to create a fuller sound. So this shall be an interesting journey for me. Again thanks!
