Folks here's a song of mine that the great Adrien Stein denoised for me. Please let me know if you like it and what it means to you. Best Wishes, and God Bless, Clay-Brian-Wilson

WHY SHE LEFT ME, I DON’T KNOW WHY?
Lyric & Music/Clay Brian Wilson

Intro.:

Verse: Soft winds blew over her face
Heavenly places she’s been.
The sea she’s sailed many years;
Knowing to look back's a sin.
Clear blue eyes like a morning sky;
Hair like night.

Chorus: WHY SHE LEFT ME, I DON’T KNOW WHY?
She’s the light;
She’s gone;
The dawn of my life has flown.
She’s blown like a leaf endlessly dancing
In the air;
In the air.

Outro: Journey to the unknown,
Like birds flying;
Like wind sighing,
But I’m not dying;
I still got myself!

WHY SHE LEFT ME, I DON’T KNOW WHY?
Lyric & Music/Clay Brian Wilson

Intro.:

Verse: Soft winds blew over her face
Heavenly places she’s been.
The sea she’s sailed far and wide;
Guided by the wind.
Clear blue eyes like a morning sky;
Hair like the night.

Chorus: WHY SHE LEFT ME, I DON’T KNOW WHY?
She’s the light;
She’s gone;
The dawn of my life has flown.
She’s blown like a leaf endlessly dancing
In the air;
In the air.

(Instrumental Chord Intro.)

Outro: Journey to the unknown,
A bird flying;
The wind sighing,
But I’m not dying;
I still got the lord!

A beautiful, meaningful tune... for some reasons it conjures up thoughts of Pink Floyd.

Great tune Clay. Loved the vocals and the guitar. Very well done. Has a mystical and magical feel to it all....

Thank you very much, Bill and Mike. You know I wrote these words when I was 18, and then when I was 22 put them to music. It's not about any woman I ever had, but subconsciously I think it is partly about some male friends I've had but not in any romantic way. Sometimes we will never know exactly why others reject us, but sometimes it can be a compliment strangely enough, and more times not. Lol. Human relationships are a strange bird indeed. God bless, Clay:-)

Always a way with words ha. Your lyrics are always either touching, satirical, humorous - but more often than not all 3 combined & then some. Always a pleasure to hear your brain transferred through aural means lol. Adrien Stein you say! Loved that guys music. Say hello for me 🖐. Cheers & thanks for the moon & stars. 🙂✌️

You tell it how it is with certain ventures in life with its ups and downs Clay, lovely backing acoustic, great lyrics. A lovely song to ponder into the past for those affected by that eventful unavoidable separation. smooth vocals and great work guys. 😀👍🍺🍺🍺

Thank you very much, Steve! I think you may have nailed the song, Brother. Yes, it's just me with Rick Whitehouse on bongos from around 1982. All the best as always to you and your music, Steve. God bless, Clay8-)
