The One Who

Went to my favorite restaurant for dinner and had a seat. Across the room I noticed an elderly lady having a wonderful conversation . Her arms were moving back and forth as she spoke, her mouth smiling. She would occasionally take a drink and resume her conversation. Her eyes were lit by love and she was unaware anyone else was in the room. The seat opposite her was noticeably empty. No one was there to have dinner with her. She had obviously lost someone dear to her and she had refused to accept their passing. As far as she was concerned she was having a lovely dinner with The One Who had meant so much in her life. The One Who was her partner and friend. The One Who was now gone. God bless this woman.

You are The One Who sets my spirit free, you are The One for me. You are The One Who sets my heart on fire, you are The One for me. You are The One Who sets my path ahead, you are The One for me.

Nothing in this universe is as powerful as Love. So be it.

B:A:D Another poignant beautiful song from you guys! What a story of that poor lady, and I think your voice spoke to her thoughts while she was having dinner by herself, or was it that you and she got together in great love? Great compassion in your songs and you gentlemen have the art of one idea and one focused lyric down to a science. That is hard to do, but you gentlemen seem to do it with ease. You guys are beautiful people, and it comes out in your beautiful songs. This one is especially poignant and meaningful! VME! Clay Brian Wilson 10,000 Suns! Thank you for sharing!

After the intro, there is unbridled joy, which surprised me, as I was expecting the song to be one of grief. Then, with the horn, the melancholy arrives, though still tinged with wistful joy. Thank you.

my favorite of yours so far. I like your instrumentation. Good synth choices. As I was reading the story, I was surprised when she had an empty chair opposite her. Sad but at the same time, she was enjoying her life.
Really really niceT
