I have a video of me playing piano. Is there any way at particular parts of the piece I'm playing I can zoom in (crop) only on my hands - them zoom back out. I have software that will let me crop but then the entire video is cropped. I don't think MAGIX 16 is sophisticated enough. Am I right?
It seems to me that you did not cut your video into scenes. Cut the parts where you want to do the cropping, highlight the scene and then apply cropping. Then everything will be fine.
Hoping that your video is HD, mark off the part of the video you want to zoom in on. Choose your "Effects" setting , "Movement Effects", "Section/Zoom". Play around with the settings (or search out the tutorial) and you should get a great zoom on your hands.
It's a shame that you have to cut your video into different pieces (thereby causing potential audio out-of-sync problems). If MAGIX would fix the Section/Zoom to allow the setting of keyframes of any size proportions (within the same scene) many problems like yours would have a very easy solution. Unfortunately, the behaviour of Section/Zoom is the same in MAGIX versions 15, 16 and Pro X2.
I must agree mnqpao. The cutting of the video is pain when the sound goes out of sync and you have to fix it. Maybe they will fix it in the next version.
