@mikelockey

First, you will see I have moved your post to the correct, 3D Maker, area of the forum.

I have not opened Xara 3D Maker on my computer for some time, so just did, created a very simple animation and exported it as .avi, with no problem.

X3D is the default 3D Maker file format, created by "saving" the project, not by exporting.

Hi Mike,

Are you using Xara Designer Pro X or Xara Photo & Graphics Designer?

Or Xara 3D Maker?

And which version?

Hello - thanks for the replies and moderation.
I didn't know which forum to use.
I'm using XARA 3d maker 7.
I have it on another computer and it works fine.
I've deleted, rebooted and reinstalled with the same problem.
Yup I use "save". I tried avi and cfx to then use in Movie Edit Pro plus.
Sadly no success. I imported the same files from my other PC created
by the same programme and they both worked fine.
Something is stopping my programme from saving on my desktop PC.

I have similar problems with Magix 3D Maker (2009) as I only use it now to update my copyright logo each year and this year it immediately came up with a error message... Failed to export to 'C:\User\orgas\AppData\Local\temp\.X3D26E9.tmp' and then - Failed to save to file 'D:\Jim's photos\downloads & work images\test sample.gif' It even refuses to export a old .X3D to gif format... So what is a fix for this as I cannot get my copyright logo gif file to "stamp" my images this year... yes I am getting on and have slowed down, I am near 75. any help is appreciated, thanks.
