That depends on what your website features are going to expand in to in the future.

There are several things to consider:

Assuming you already have an existing site made with Web Designer.

You cannot use the Web Designer (WD) projects in any other web site creation software, which means:

  • If you are looking to have features such as for example a shop, then you would either be reliant on 3rd party sites to provide this.
     
  • Other features such as membership logins, or data driven pages that require PHP and MySQL are not possible in WD and, AFAIK, not supported on Xara hosting - I can find no reference to these.

There should be no issue with this, if it was registered through Xara then you would need to contact them.
