Comments 1940 wrote on 12/22/2013, 1:52 AM Okay found it... Certainly a long way around but as there doesn't seem to be any options this has to be it. I tried the batch save and the save each clip to project folder but nothing worked. I now do this.. Delete ALL clips on the timline in the Master file except the one I want to save. Save this as a new project using 'Save as', naming the file the name of th4 master file hyphen and the name of the song of the clip. When it asks if I want to save the Master file, I say no as I need to clome back to it with all the clips in place. Once I have the new project open with just the clip in it, I mover the clip to the start of the timeline. I choose Export to an AVI file pointing it to the drive and folder I want the clips in than save it. After this I Open the Master project again and when asked say No to adding it to the new project. I am now back in the Master project wherer I start again. So far I have done 6 clips. I just don't understand why there isn't a simple 'Save selected clip' from the timeline. So there you go. Let me know if there is an easier way pleaase.. johnebaker wrote on 12/22/2013, 4:53 AM Hi Assuming your are exporting the sections so each can be viewed seperately there is an easy way using the Export ragnge option. Open the master project and for each clip / section / range you wish to export : 1. Move the timeline cursor to the start of the section you require. 2. Set an In point by pressing the I key 3. Move the timeline cursor to the end of the required section 4. Set an Out point by pressing the O key 5. Select the export option you require and check the Export selected range only option 6. Export the video. Repeat steps 1 - 6 for every section you require. HTH John 1940 wrote on 1/2/2014, 4:36 PM Hi again. Many thanks for the export selected clip info. I am having a strange problem though. I do the I and O on the time line after I cut the clip I want Go to export and have chosen avi then mpg. Chose 'Export only selected clip' It does export the correct timed clip, but so far only blank video and no audio. I have messed with a few things but still no. Tried with VLC and Media Player. Obvioulsy I am doing/not doing something :-( Thanks oz 1940 wrote on 1/2/2014, 5:20 PM Ah haaa. Not sure what happened to get the blank frames etc, but rebooted XP and now it does work as you have shown. Mark In and Out, Export, Only export selected clip and there it is. Thanks again. 1
