why won't it save my effects from the mixing board???!!!!

I am going to make this as clear as we can so you guys can understand w exactly what I'm talking about

please note, I am using the MMM16 download version, so I'm not using the full one yet, but I am testing it out currently to see if I want to buy the real thing.

THIS however is definitely a deal-breaker.

I double-click a track to pull up the mixer and add some echo and click apply AND ok:

I then double-click the track again with the echo on it (yes, the echo has been saved onto the track because I can hear it) and the mixer looks like this:

It's as if I didn't do anything! I can't tweak what I had just done incase I wanted more or less echo, so the track is STUCK with a certain mixing. This isn't right, I have been a Magix user for a long time, and this is definitely a deal-breaker.

Basically, the effects (including filters and plugins) apply to the track, but once that mixer is closed, it starts fresh, so whatever effect that is on the track is permanently there and cannot be changed. please help!!

Thanks!!!!! :)

We appreciate your attempt to explain the situation thoroughly, but you may have missed the mark a little.  It's my impression that you may be using the wrong terminology.

First...do you really mean the entire track, or do you mean a single audio/MIDI object?

Second, the processesor you are showing us is an audio effects rack, not the mixer.

If you are adding effects to a single audio/MIDI object using the audio effects rack, you can change the settings on the reverb module at any time.  You can vary the amount at any time using the MIX knob.  If you no longer want any reverb on that object, simply turn the reverb unit's power button OFF or hit the Reset button.

Of course, you can also add effects to the entire track using the track FX menu on the left end of the track, OR use the FX rack on the actual mixer track FX menu.

According to the user's manual, you are having this problem because you are hitting the Apply button.  "Apply" is a destructive editing function designed to be used when you want to "lock in" the effects to reduce processing time and drain on the CPU.  Once used, the only way to change it is to click UNDO immediately after using "Apply".

The reason the settings change on the audio effects rack is because the changes were "locked in" by the Apply function.  The object is now treated like a fresh object and the settings revert to their default positions.

If you want to come back and edit the effects later, do not click Apply - only click OK.
