OK Here it is, I bought a new computer just for making my films that are shown to thousands at our 200 acre campground in Oregon. The computer is a HP P6320y it has a AMD Phenom 11x4 820 Quad Core, NIVIDA GeForce 9100 Graphics, 8GB of memory and 1 Terebyte of hard drive well above recommended requirements for MEP16. So I have 10 minutes of AVCHD film and 7 tracks of sounds and effects and yet the program keeps crashing, and my film is 45 minutes long! So I took my computer to the Geek Squad to check the computer and why the program is crashing. While with the Geek Squad we played my film and the MEP16 says 100% CPU however the diagnostics showed only 28% avg. of computer was actually being used, the computer is working fine with LOTS power to spare. What that means is your MEP16 is not keeping up with 7 tracks let alone 32. So now for the next problem I have promised the premier of my film during the Memorial Day weekend with ALOT of guests coming to see it, but I can‘t seem to get a hold of even one person at MAGIX to solve my problem what‘s more while with the Geek Squad we tried to get a hold of someone and the phone number was changed and there was no updates or patches for the program. So here’s the deal either I get some kind of response besides the “have you gotten your question answered” E-mail, to solve this issue before my premier or that Sunday evening during our Campfire Sing-A-Long I’m going to very outspokenly throw every MAGIX software I have into the fire with a celebration! If this doesn’t get some kind of human response then it really shows everyone what kind of company MAGIX really is!
Why does my MEP16 keep crashing, & is there anyone @ MAGIX?
