Why do I receive an Access Violation notice during playback?

I am no longer able to use playback in Magix MusicMaker 15. This occured after a live recording session using a mobile pre interface. After the recording session, I let my computer "sleep" for about a half hour and when I accessed MusicMaker 15 back at home I was no longer able to play.

The error states: Error in module "MusicMaker.exe." (Load address: 0x00400000) to address 0x005c529b Exception 0xc0000005 "ACCESS_VIOLATION"

Any info is helpful. I back up but I wasn't able to go home and back those new songs up to my external hard drive! Please help... :( _ _ _

Your PC specs would be handy to know but I'm assuming you are running windows and possibly using a laptop? but...

There are a few things you can do to fix some of which you may have already discovered:

This problem can be fixed by re-starting the PC - What's probably happened is that you have had a conflict of more than one program accessing the same sound file. Your PC going to sleep has in some way locked a process from releasing the sound file.

Check after restarting. If the problem persists. Re-start PC again and up date your DirectX (no updates normlly given via Windows automatic updates). Also make sure your sound card drivers are up to date. This normally fixes these sorts of problems but if it doesn't come back here and report
